- KLAS Research recognized several leading security and privacy vendors as Best in KLAS winners for 2024. The 2024 Best in KLAS software and services winners were designated based on information collected from more than 26,000 evaluations collected over the past year from more than 5,000 healthcare organizations.

The Best in KLAS designation recognizes “software and services companies who excel in helping healthcare professionals improve patient care” and “signifies to the healthcare IT industry the commitment and partnership that the top vendors should provide,” KLAS stated.

In the security and privacy arena, KLAS recognized vendors in market segments such as access management, identity management, healthcare IoT security, and patient privacy monitoring.

Duo achieved Best in KLAS for access management, with a score of 89.6. All rankings are scored on a 100-point scale and consider responses from customers surrounding culture, loyalty, product, relationship, operations, and value.

As multi-factor authentication and single sign-on solutions become imperative in healthcare amid an uptick in cyberattacks, having trustworthy access management solutions will continue to be a key priority. SailPoint’s identity platform achieved Best in KLAS for identity management, with a score of 81.8, followed only by Imprivata. This ranking differs from last year when Imprivata won Best in KLAS followed by SailPoint.

KLAS recognized Claroty’s Medigate IoMT Solutions as the highest performer for healthcare IoT security, with a score of 95.4. Claroty, which acquired Medigate in 2022, received grades of A and A+ across the board. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Medigate by Claroty has won Best in KLAS.

"We're immensely proud of how Medigate by Claroty has helped more than 2,000 hospitals and clinics across the world build better security postures," Jonathan Langer, COO of Claroty and co-founder of Medigate, said in a press release.

"To receive this recognition from KLAS, one of the top analyst firms in healthcare, for the fourth year in a row, validates our commitment to high-touch customer service and innovative solutions that help our customers achieve comprehensive healthcare cybersecurity. We're honored to receive this award and incredibly grateful to KLAS and our customers for their insightful evaluations."

Other high-ranking vendors recognized by KLAS in the healthcare IoT security space included Armis, Asimily, and Ordr.

Healthcare compliance analytics platform Protenus won Best in KLAS in the patient privacy monitoring category, with a score of 93.2. Security and privacy consulting service tw-Security was the top-ranking consulting service, followed by First Health Advisory and Intraprise Health.

Fortified Health Security achieved Best in KLAS for the third year in a row in the category of security and privacy managed services with a score of 91.6.

Overall, this year’s Best in KLAS report showed that top security and privacy vendors are continuing to deliver results for their customers.

"At KLAS, we firmly believe that the voice of healthcare providers and payers is paramount. The Best in KLAS awards are based on extensive feedback and evaluations from healthcare professionals across the nation," Adam Gale, KLAS Research CEO, noted in a press release.

"Winning a Best in KLAS award, therefore, is not just about recognition; it shows the trust and confidence that healthcare providers place in the winning vendors. It also helps validate each vendor's commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. We are proud to recognize 2024's Best in KLAS award winners! Their unwavering dedication to improving patient outcomes is wonderfully inspiring."
