- Duo, Imprivata, and Medigate by Claroty, were among the variety of vendors that achieved “Best in KLAS” status in the newly released 2023 Best in KLAS: Software & Services report.

“Best in KLAS is awarded only in those software and services market segments that have the broadest operational and clinical impact on healthcare organizations,” KLAS stated in an accompanying press release.

KLAS Research determined the rankings based on 23,000 evaluations conducted in 2022, evaluating vendors in a variety of market segments, including payer solutions, value-based care, services and consulting, and security and privacy.

In the security and privacy space in particular, KLAS evaluated vendors that provide access management, healthcare IoT security, identity management, patient privacy monitoring, security and privacy consulting services, and security and privacy managed services.

In the access management category, Duo achieved Best in KLAS, earning an A- in the categories of culture and loyalty, and high scores in the operations, product, relationship, and value categories. Duo was followed by Imprivata and Identity Automation.

In the identity management vector, Imprivata earned the number one spot, followed by SailPoint.

In the category of healthcare IoT security, KLAS named Medigate by Claroty Best in KLAS for the third year in a row, with rankings of A or A+ across the board. Armis and Ordr followed Medigate by Claroty in the rankings.

“While winning this award again is very exciting for us, the real heroes are our customers who took time throughout the year to provide KLAS with their honest and unique perspective on our healthcare IoT security platform,” Jonathan Langer, COO at Claroty, wrote in a press release.

“I want to take this opportunity to again thank our customers for their support. It is the ongoing feedback, partnership, and feature requests without which we would not deliver the type of value we strive to bring to healthcare. “

Healthcare compliance analytics platform Protenus won Best in KLAS in the patient privacy monitoring category, and Impact Advisors came in first place in the security and privacy consulting services category.

In the security and privacy managed services vector, Fortified Health Security achieved Best in KLAS for the second year in a row.

“Achieving this prestigious KLAS award for a second consecutive year demonstrates Fortified’s commitment to protecting patient data and validates the impact we are making to secure health systems across the country,” Dan L. Dodson, CEO of Fortified Health Security said in a press release.

Healthcare organizations continue to outsource key functions and engage with vendors to manage security and compliance. As such, it is increasingly important to work with trustworthy vendors that provide significant value to the organization while enhancing its overall security posture.

“The 2023 Best in KLAS report highlights the top-performing healthcare IT solutions as determined by extensive evaluations and conversations with thousands of healthcare providers,” said Adam Gale, CEO of KLAS Research.

“These distinguished winners have demonstrated exceptional dedication to innovative solutions, proactive services, and – as research by our Landmark Insights group shows, effective implementations. Congratulations to all the winning vendors.”
